This barrel brings together two mature streams in one cured-oak cask:

• A component aged 15 years, 8 months in American oak, then layered with 4 additional years in virgin cured oak for amplified texture, toasted sweetness, and a firm, elegant tannin frame.

• A second component aged 15 years in American oak with a French oak influence, contributing darker fruit, cocoa, and spice-toned lift.

Both are blended and unified inside a single cured-oak cask, creating a finish that feels seamless rather than “added on”—a slow, cohesive integration that drives the name: inky richness, polished oak, and a long, resonant tail.
